North Carolina Beer Distribution Agreements

Obtain a malt beverage wholesaler permit to sell, deliver, and ship at wholesale only malt beverages manufactured by the brewery. The authorization of this subdivision applies to a brewery that sells, to consumers at the brewery, to wholesalers, to retailers, and to exporters, fewer than 25,000 barrels, as defined in G.S. 81A-9, of malt beverages produced by it per year.

Man Busts Store Window, Steals Beer

A man was arrested early Thursday morning after he allegedly smashed a store window with a baseball bat and then walked off with a 12-pack of Heineken. Mark Henry, 55, of Nashua, was charged with burglary after a witness called police after seeing Henry break into Pigeon's Market at 168 Wilson St., in Manchester, around 12:20 a.m. Police located Henry at the intersection of Wilson and Somverville streets.

Beer: Thirsty for an old one?

When Old Economy Village in Ambridge holds its annual Holiday Dinner with the Pittsburgh Opera next Wednesday, Dec. 10, guests will get a taste of the beer made and enjoyed by the original Harmonist residents about 200 years ago. This fall, Nichole A. Remmert, development and marketing associate for Friends of Old Economy Village, which administers the museum site with the state, worked with counterparts at Historic New Harmony in Indiana to get an English translation of a circa-1816 Harmonist beer recipe that the Ambridge site gave the Indiana one years ago.

Iron Maiden beer to crack America

US fans of UK heavy metal band Iron Maiden will soon be getting a taste of the group's best-selling ale as it is announced that a canned version will be heading stateside early next year. According to the Manchester Evening News , some 300,000 "Trooper" ales in 500ml "tallboy" cans will be shipped to the US and go on sale in January 2015.

MPs raise glasses of Box Steam Brewery's Tunnel Vision beer

'Isambard Kingdom Brunel', Duncan Hames MP and Philip Downes, of Box Steam Brewery, in the Strangers' Bar at the House of Commons GLASSESS of Box Steam Brewery's Tunnel Vision were raised at the seat of Government, after Chippenham MP Duncan Hames selected the beer as the week's guest ale at the House of Commons' Strangers' Bar. Philip Downes, master brewer at the Holt brewery, made the journey to London to share a pint with Mr Hames and other MPs for whom the Strangers' Bar is effectively their 'local'.
