Hard cider sales have tripled in the U.S. over the past three years reaching $1.3 billion in 2013 which is helping orchards and farm cideries, according to market research company Euromonitor International. Mark Bruick, general manager of Advanced Tree Technology in New Haven, said his orchard has experienced a small increase in the demand for untouched red cider a key component for people who want to make their own hard cider or apple wine.
