With three brand new brews - two year round and one seasonal, our friends at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. have really started this year off right. Not only do they have an already solid portfolio of beers, but in addition, there’s the entire Beer Camp collaboration series. How could they possibly top that?
To start, there’s the Beer Camp Hoppy Lager. Re-imagined from a collaboration from last year’s Beer Camp Across America mixed 12-pack, it’s a hop-heavy twist of the classic blond lager. Next up is Nooner Pilsner, a hoppy take on the original session beer that makes for a great midday go-to. Lastly comes Hop Hunter IPA, which uses distilled oil from wet hops (find out more here) to give you wet-hop aroma and flavor year-round.
It’s these three beers that will take your on a journey - an ascent into the beer heavens above. Along your climb, you can collect a series of 4 brand new badges from Sierra Nevada, all of which will be available from March 5th - April 5th.
First, unlock the “Sierra Nevada: New Year, New Beers” badge by checking in to any Sierra Nevada beer and celebrate all the great new beers of 2015!
Once you’ve become accustomed, start your journey towards the “Alpha Ascent - The Trailhead” badge, which can be unlcoked by checking in to ANY ONE (1) Hop Hunter IPA, Nooner Pilsner, OR Beer Camp Hoppy Lager.
After that, continue on to the “Alpha Ascent – The Ascent” badge by checking in to ANY TWO (2) beers from the list above.
Finally, complete your adventure with the “Alpha Ascent - The Summit” badge, which can be obtained by checking to ONE (1) OF EACH - Hop Hunter IPA, Nooner Pilsner, AND Beer Camp Hoppy Lager.
That’s it. From there it’s nothing but great flavors and amazing views. Just be sure to complete your climb before April 5th to get all three badges!
