Gearing Up for Homebrew Con 2016 - via AHA

Homebrew Con is the most wonderful time of the year!

Over 3,000 beer drinkers and beer makers from across the country will descend upon Baltimore, Maryland for the biggest weekend in homebrewing of the year. If you are a beer enthusiast or homebrewer, it’s a can’t-miss event that you might just end up attending every year.

Online registration for Homebrew Con 2016 is now closed, but on-site registration will be available at the event starting June 8.

Keynote Address

Sam Calagione, Founder & President of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, will welcome attendees and deliver the annual keynote address. Calagione started out as a homebrewer and since entering the big leagues has remained a powerful advocate for homebrewing.

Attendees will have the opportunity to raise a glass of Dogfish Head’s Biere de Provence during the official welcome toast. Learn more about this tasty saison, brewed with Herbes de Provence.

Craft Beer Kickoff Party

Each year, the first night of Homebrew Con kicks off with a celebration of US craft brewers. This three-and-a-half-hour attendee-exclusive beer festival includes more than 50 craft breweries and 13 local homebrew clubs pouring their finest offerings.

Club Night 2015

Club Night

Club Night is an event every homebrewer and beer drinker needs to experience at least once (or twice or three times) in their lifetime. Homebrew clubs from across the country build themed booths and pour their members’ best beers for Homebrew Con attendees to enjoy. Never has there been such an eclectic mix of costumes and beer styles!

This year, more than 70 clubs from the Maryland area and beyond will be pouring at Club Night.

Seminars

Homebrew Con isn’t just about sampling some of the finest amateur and pro beer from across the country—it’s also an opportunity to take your beer and homebrewing knowledge to the next level. Sixty-four unique seminars are held throughout the week, covering everything from historical beermaking techniques to modern meadmaking.

Homebrew Expo & Social Club

Visit the Homebrew Expo & Social Club to view exhibiting sponsors and sample homebrew from local and out-of-state homebrew clubs in our homebrew beer garden. While you’re there, take the time to meet fellow homebrewers from across the country. Homebrew clubs volunteer to serve their club beers in Social Club.
