Great beer is meant to be shared. And starting this month, the brewers at Guinness are sharing two of their favorite creations with U.S. drinkers for the first time.
Rye Pale Ale was first brewed last December at the Open Gate Brewery in Dublin, when a few of the brewers decided to make a batch as a gift for their friends and families. The response to their rustic and spicy ale was so positive, they had to make more. Now, for a limited time, beer drinkers in the U.S. can see why it became such a hit.
Likewise, Antwerpen Stout has been a longtime favorite of Guinness brewers, ever since it was first brewed in 1944 for export to Antwerp. Known in the Belgian city simply as Guinness Special Export, Guinness Antwerpen Stout is a rich and robust special stout with intense roasted malt, smoked wood and licorice notes—and only available in the U.S. for a limited time.
To get in on the fun, check-in one (1) Guinness Rye Pale Ale to earn the “Rye Is for Sharing” badge. On top of that, you can check-in to one (1) Guinness Antwerpen Stout to earn “The Luck of the Belgians” badge. Both badges are available from September 30th to December 31th.
