Fifth Annual Oktoberfest Was A Grand Success - via Due South Brewing

saturday-oktoberfest

It was quite the weekend at Due South Brewing Company. From September 29 to October 1, we put on our fifth annual Oktoberfest celebration in our taproom, full of German-styled beers, food trucks, polka music, and a Saturday night teeming with lederhosen and dirndls.

Thursday saw the release of our hefeweizen called What the Hef?, alongside a new beer for us, a malt-forward Doppelbock. In addition, we had a bevvy of timed tappings throughout the weekend, including Pumpkin Spiced Latte, Earl Grey and Walnut Doppelbock, and Cranberry Hef? There was a lot of beer to be had, and many of the specialty releases kicked within a few hours. Thank you for coming thirsty.

Our food truck friends at Flavor of MunichTucker Duke’s Food TruckOutside the Box Food Truck and Rolling Chefs were out on site to help feed the masses, and we think they did a terrific job. Not surprising from some of the best in the business.

Then to cap off the days-long event, a number of members of the American German Club of the Palm Beaches came out to celebrate with us and our customers on Saturday night, including Miss Oktoberfest 2016 and her runners up. We thank you for coming out to support your local brewery!

Finally, a giant thank you goes out to our bar staff, who worked tirelessly throughout the weekend, and our brewing staff, who consistently up the ante when it comes to quality beer.

Did you attend? See if you’re spotted in this Facebook photo album of the event.

We look forward to seeing you all next year!
