The local watering hole just got a lot more local! Kelvin & Samantha Mayes and Robert & Helen Sheldon from Wilenhall, England decided they wanted a personal pub to chill in with their friends while also enjoying a pint and some tunes.
These two couples, who live next door to each other, built their own tavern in between their houses to do just that – The Outback Inn. Named for being “out the back” of their houses, this Australian-themed homebrew pub is made from recycled materials and adorned with the finest decorations eBay and the local charity shops had to offer.
Kelvin Mayes said the inspiration came from homebrewing and the desire to drink somewhere other than in their house. The bar features their own beer, cider and wine. It’s safe to say this is all something we wish we could have in our backyards.
