Craft brewing in the Gulf states, and especially in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, lags behind the rest of the country as far as number of breweries and breweries per capita. But even with that handicap, the economic benefits of southern craft beer culture are being felt by brewers, retailers, consumers and the wider business communities.
