BALTIMORE, MD — Heavy Seas Beer is pleased to announce the release of its first new year-round beer in several years, CrossBones, a “session” IPA style beer. The product will be available starting in January 2015, in all 18 states where Heavy Seas beer is distributed.
CrossBones is the perfect “session” IPA that will satisfy “hop heads,” while coming in at surprisingly low alcohol by volume. Showcasing floral and citrus hop notes, the beer will still have enough malt backbone to support the hoppy flavor, and its rounded body and smooth finish make it hard to believe it is only 4.5% ABV.
Brewmaster Christopher Leonard describes the beer as having “luscious hop aromas and a tantalizing mouthfeel. We’ve brewed the beer to give the full-bodied, palate-pleasing, multi-layered flavor experience of our Loose Cannon IPA, but in an easy form you can enjoy to all day.”
Style: Session IPA
ABV: 4.5%
IBU’s: 35
Availability: Year-round
