The 35th anniversary of Magor Brewery was honoured with the addition of a commemorative plaque in September.
AB InBev brews popular brands such as Stella Artois, Budweiser and Beck’s in the Welsh border town brewery.
The brewery in Magor has been standing since 1979 and is amongst the biggest breweries in the United Kingdom.
David Ball, an attendee at the birthday celebrations who had the privilege to unveil the plaque, explained how he has worked at the brewery for 31 years, having taken a job in the laboratory when he was just 18 years old.
David progressed to being a forklift truck driver before he moved into the brewing department.
Speaking at the unveiling, David continued on to say that he had seen a lot of changes take place there during his time and was proud to have worked alongside a few other members of staff who had been there the same amount of time as he.
David’s father even helped to build the brewery back in 1979!
Producing 792 million pints a year is no easy task and in order to meet demand, the brewery stays open 24 hours a day.
