Mayoral Proclamation & Collaboration Beer Tapping

This week, beer lovers everywhere are celebrating the country’s small and independent craft breweries during American Craft Beer Week, May 11-17. All 50 states are boasting special events including brewery tours, special craft beer releases, food and beer pairings, tap takeovers and more.

At Standing Stone Brewing Company in Ashland, Oregon, Mayor John Stromberg will read aloud the 2015 Craft Beer Proclamation on Wednesday, May 13th at 6pm. The proclamation was read and adopted into the Ashland City Council’s minutes last week. Beer lovers are welcome to join the toast with a free sample of Standing Stone ale.

The mayor will also help tap a collaboration beer concocted for the annual Craft Brewers Conference last month. Spirit of the 90s is a modern Northwest amber ale brewed at Hopworks Urban Brewery in Portland. Contributing breweries included Breakside Brewery, Gilgamesh Brewing, Hopworks Urban Brewery, Laurelwood Brewing Co., Portland Brewing, and Standing Stone.
