Started Small and Dreaming Bigger!

Dirty Bucket Brewing Co. is on the edge of branching out from its nano-brewery status.  Three years ago, brothers Steve and Chris Acord along with Steve’s wife Sharon ventured into the craft beer industry.  Brewing double batches on their SABCO Brew-Magic 1/2 bbl brew house every night for the first 10 months was no easy task, given each of them continue to hold down full time jobs on top of this, but that was not going to stop them doing what they love to do, and that’s brew great Northwest ales.

Dirty Bucket Brewing Co. started over exactly that…a “dirty bucket”.  Brewing in the garage and pondering the idea of creating a place where we can share their beers and passion for creating them. After they took that leap of faith towards brewing as a profession they needed a name. Holding true to their Home Brewing roots the name Dirty Bucket Brewing Co. was tossed up and the more they thought about it the more they realized there truly was no other name that better describes their passion.

Today Dirty Bucket Brewing Co. just added their 4th and 5th 7 bbl tanks and soon they will be adding an 8th.  Along with 15 wooden casks Dirty Bucket Brewing Co. looks to exceed the 1000 bbl annually mark this year.

New for 2015 Dirty Bucket Brewing Co. will be releasing their Dirty Barrel Collection.  A collection of amazing beers that have been aging in wood casks ranging from Bourbon, to Syrah.  These unique ales will be available beginning this fall at the brewery in 750 ml bottles only.

Steve says, ” I am excited to see the growth of our brewery and also seeing what lies ahead, we will just continue to do what we love to do, and ensure our passion is visible in every batch. To quote Sam Calagione’s book, Brewing Up a Business, we are Starting Small and Dreaming Big, and that quote is painted on the back wall of our original brewing location.”
