Firkfest Cask Beer Festival is Back For Year Three

Anaheim, CA (Jan 8, 2016)— FirkFest, Orange County’s first cask beer festival, is set to take place on March 19, 2016 from noon to 4 P.M. on Farmers Park in the Anaheim Packing District located at 400 S Anaheim Blvd, Anaheim. Firkfest highlights ‘Old World’ beer serving techniques and blends them with new creativity of today’s burgeoning local craft brewers. Thirty Southern California breweries will participate in this unique event that pays homage to how beer has been traditionally served for centuries.

“With back to back sellouts and a limited number of tickets available, I strive to make Firkfest different from the hundred other beer festivals that are overcrowded with the same old beers. Firkfest is filled with one-off beers, most of which are made just for the fest,” says organizer Greg Nagel of OCBeerBlog.

LA Times named Firkfest one of the “Top four Southern California craft beer festivals worth the drive.”

“Firkfest was one of the best events we did last year and I hope [they] plan to bring it back,” says Anders Nilbrink of Firestone Walker Brewing Company.

Beer festivals need a fresh, authentic approach with an organizer entrenched on the front lines of local craft beer. Not too many festivals are run by people that want to showcase the best local beer in an interesting way. “I want to focus on unique nuances of modern craft beer,” says Nagel.
