It’s time to dust off the bottles in your cellar, grab your closest friends, and get in line for the Bourbon County Stout series from Goose Island Beer Co. This year’s release is getting some buzz from the newest addition to the line-up, Rare Bourbon County Stout.
Goose got their hands on 35 year-old whiskey barrels from Heaven Hill, filled them with Bourbon County Stout, and let them age at the Goose Island Barrel House on Chicago’s West Side for two more years. With the aroma and taste of bourbon, chocolate, toasted coconut, and vanilla, this may be the finest beer ever brewed by Goose Island.
